Privacy Policy
Uchi is made by Mimis Code. This policy says what we collect, why, and what we never do.
The short version
- Your chores, cards, and history sync to our servers so your household shares one board.
- You can use Uchi without an email. If you add one, we use it only to sign you in.
- Selfies are used once to draw your character, then discarded. The photo itself is never stored on our servers.
- We do not sell data, run ads, or use third-party trackers.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Account, anonymous ID, or email if you add one | Sign-in and keeping your household attached to you | Supabase |
| Display name | Shown on cards and the board to your household | Supabase |
| Cards, completions, and steals | The core app experience | Supabase, scoped to your household |
| Mascot choice and generated character art | Rendering your cards | Supabase Storage |
| A selfie, if you choose the selfie character feature | Sent once to generate cartoon art | Processed in memory and not stored as the original photo |
What we do not do
- No ads, analytics SDKs, data brokers, or selling/sharing data for marketing.
- No reading your contacts, location, or photo library beyond the single image you pick.
- Household data is only visible to members of your household, enforced with database row-level security.
Third-party processors
- Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
- Google Gemini API: receives the selfie if you use that feature, and card scene images solely to generate artwork.
Your controls
- Save or stay anonymous: email is optional; anonymous accounts work fully.
- Delete your account: Method tab → Account → Delete account.
- Invites: invite codes expire and are single-use.
Children
Uchi is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
